The United States witnessed massive protests as tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets against the Trump Administration on Wednesday. The protests were fueled by public outrage over the White House’s early policies, including immigration crackdowns, rollbacks on gender rights, and tariffs on allied nations.

These demonstrations were organized under the hashtags #BuildAResistance and #50501, which represents 50 protests in 50 states in a single day. Some of the largest protests occurred in California, Oregon, Washington State, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, New York, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. Even traditionally Republican-leaning states such as Texas, Alabama, Alaska, Missouri, and Ohio saw significant participation.

One protester expressed their concern, stating:
“I feel like the movement is growing. We’ve only had to deal with him for the last 16 days, but people are waking up to what we are facing. In 2016, we didn’t know what he would do in office, but now we know. I can’t understand how he got elected or how people are okay with this. I hope people start pushing back before it’s too late.”

Demonstrations were widespread across major cities, including Atlanta, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, where protesters chanted slogans like:

  • “Death to Fascism, Save Democracy”
  • “No Human is Illegal”
  • “Impeach Trump”

The protests also targeted President Trump’s close ally, Elon Musk, with many carrying signs demanding his deportation. Some protesters accused Musk of influencing the White House, alleging that he had contributed over $250 million to Trump’s election campaign in exchange for political favors.

A rally participant declared:
“We are witnessing in real-time the most corrupt bargain in American history. Elon Musk paid over $250 million to help elect Trump, and now Trump is turning over the keys to the Treasury and the federal government to him. We need to stop this illegal power grab now!”

Several Democratic leaders joined the protests, urging the Trump Administration to reconsider its decision to shut down the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Many also accused Elon Musk of wielding excessive influence over White House decisions.

Although President Trump had been in office for less than a month, his administration was already facing intense backlash—not just from political opponents but from ordinary Americans across the nation.
